About Us

Dr. Colleen Powers, MD

Dr. Powers is a board certified pediatrician with Rhode Island and Massachusetts state medical licenses. Dr. Powers received her BS in Biology from Boston College. She then went onto Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. She did her internship and residency training at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI. After she completed her chief resident year, she joined PRIMA Pediatrics in Cumberland. She remained there for eight years before opening her own practice in North Kingstown. Dr. Powers treats a wide variety of child-related illnesses. She has a strong interest in preventative medicine.

Our Team

Taryn Kilmer, MD

Dr. Kilmer is a board certified pediatrician with a RI state medical license. She received her B.A in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She then completed her pediatric residency training at the University of California, LA in 2018.

Dr. Kilmer has since worked as a pediatrician in Los Angeles and New York City before moving to RI and joining Kingstown Pediatrics in 2023.

Dr. Kilmer loves being apart of families lives from birth through illnesses, parenting challenges, school transitions, and then through the teenage years. She treasures the relationship built as a medical family as we go through these phases together.

Kaylee Burke, FNP-C

Kaylee Burke is a certified family nurse practitioner and a certified emergency nurse. Kaylee received her BA in English from Fordham University in Bronx, NY before realizing her calling as a nurse. She went on to receive and BSN in nursing from Simmons College in Boston, MA and her MSN as a family nurse practitioner from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, ME. Kaylee worked as a bedside emergency nurse for 8 years before joining Kingstown Pediatrics. Kaylee has special interests in social-emotional development and integrative/holistic care.

Caitlin Levesque, DNP, CPNP

Caitlin Levesque is a doctorally prepared, board certified, pediatric nurse practitioner. Caitlin holds licenses in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Providence College in Providence, RI and her MSN and DNP degrees from Simmons University in Boston, MA. Caitlin has been a nurse practitioner at Kingstown Pediatrics since 2009. Prior to this she was a pediatric nurse at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Through the years, Caitlin has enjoyed watching patients grow from newborns to adolescents. As a mother to five young children, she feels privileged to support families in the postpartum period as well as to support families through breastfeeding and newborn feeding challenges. Caitlin also enjoys working with adolescents as they navigate the transition from children to young adults. In addition to her work at Kingstown Pediatrics, Caitlin is an Associate Professor at Simmons University where she teaches in the graduate nursing program specializing in advanced health assessment. Caitlin's greatest joy is spending time with her husband Brian and her children, Brian, Shawn, Emily, Carson and Knox. On her days off, she can be found on the many fields, courts and gyms throughout New England watching her children play sports, and in the sunny months, on the beaches of southern RI.

Practice Details

Kingstown Pediatrics is a small, private pediatric practice that provides personal care. Our practice cares for patients from birth through college. We offer a wide range of services at our location including ear piercings and counseling services.

Weekday Hours: Our telephone hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm Appointments are scheduled Monday- Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm The providers are available in the office beginning at 9:00am Monday-Friday. Weekend Hours: Please call the answering service before 8:30 am to schedule appointments For Emergency Sick visits only!

Directions

The office is located off Route 102 in North Kingstown across from the BANKRI, close to Home Depot. Our entrance is down and around the building, by the mail box. (Click map for directions)

Affiliations

Kingstown Pediatrics works with the hospitalists at Women and Infants, Hasbro Children's Hospital and South County The hospitalists are pediatricians or specialists employed by the hospital to do inpatient care. Kingstown Pediatrics will be in contact with these physicians and you while your child is under their care.
